WHAT IS A BODY MOT?

My body MOT is a 60 minute in-depth consultation covering: 

GOAL SETTING & EXECUTION

  • Understanding the ‘what’ and ‘why’ of your goal
  • Strategies on how to measure progress & keep you on track
  • Setting realistic timeframes and milestones to keep motivation and progress high

FITNESS ASSESSMENT

Understanding where we are right now and where we want to get to is key for success.

Whenever starting a fitness journey, it’s important to meet you where you currently are to ensure you can build sustainable and lasting change.

It’s this part of the MOT where we dive into:

  • CURRENT FITNESS LEVELS. What is your exercise history and what are you currently doing. Understanding how you move and using appropriate exercise selection to help you challenge yourself
  • MOBILITY, STABILITY & FLEXIBILITY. Along with strength, having mobile and stable joints is key for any fitness endeavour and overall wellness
  • CORE STRENGTH. Do you sit for most of your day and get back pain often? Understanding where your current midline strength is essential for helping you get stronger in your pursuit of your goal
  • PAIN ASSESSMENRT. Identifying past injuries or current niggles and understanding how they may be causing restrictions, is essential when designing a fitness routine that is custom to you, to meet you where you are at rather than just following along with a cookie cutter generalised plan.
  • BODY METRICS (weight, body fat, BMI, waist to hip ratio). These are your lines in the sand. Understanding where you are right now so you can measure progress objectively and ensure progression continues

LIFESTYLE ASSESSMENT

We use this part to identify where we can find daily wins outside of your training to support your training and your journey to achieve your goals.

We discuss:

  • LIFESTYLE HABITS (current & new). What you do daily that maybe taking you closer or further from your goal
  • STRESS LEVELS and how to use stress to your advantage
  • ENERGY LEVELS through the day. Maybe you get that mid afternoon slump and want to understand how to combat it?
  • NUTRITION REVIEW. What does your current eating habits look like and where can we get more out of it

HOW DO I GET BOOKED IN?

Easy. Just find a time that suits you in the calendar booking below and get booked in. You will get a confirmation email and I will message you directly to confirm your booking.

Interested in doing your body MOT online?

From the initial lockdowns in 2020, it gave me the opportunity to offer my services remotely too.

It can be a great way to initially meet and discuss the parts of the MOT we can do remotely. I can also perform the movement aspects remotely, but to get the fully immersive in person experience, it will be best performed in person.
